Optima Group wins award

Optima Group has been awarded the Defence Employer Recognition Silver Award for our continuing support of the defence community.

The award was presented by the Queen’s representative, the Lord Lieutenant of Wiltshire, to Optima Group founder and CEO, Keith Hammond (right), at a ceremony in Devizes.

The Employer Recognition Scheme rewards employers for their support and commitment to the Armed Forces, ex-military personnel and Reservists. Keith Hammond served for 18 years in the Royal Engineers and two thirds of our employees are either ex-military or the spouse of a serving member of the Armed Forces.

Keith Hammond said: “I was extremely proud to collect the Defence Employer Recognition Award on behalf of Optima Group.

"We were nominated for many reasons but primarily for our commitment to the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant, our support to service leavers and Reservist employees, sponsorship of defence charity events and for demonstrating how military experience brings value to business.
