Oxley launches PAR 64 LED replacement landing lights

Oxley Group has launched its latest aircraft lighting development, a new PAR 64 LED sealed beam replacement lamp.

The high intensity lamp is specifically designed as a replacement for Q4559X and Q4559 lamp units and offers much greater reliability than halogen technology with a Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) of 7,000 hours (airborne rotary winged) and 12,000 hours (airborne uninhabited cargo). This far exceeds the performance of existing technology and reduces both physical waste and maintenance requirements; minimising aircraft on the ground (AOG) time.

The Oxley lamp delivers high ‘through life’ cost savings as there is no future requirement to replace bulbs and also offers savings through a reduced power consumption of just 140W DC. Oxley also provides a five year warranty on the lamp.

The light is incredibly bright delivering a peak intensity of 600,000cd, with aluminium housing and a matt black anodised finish, the unit weighs just 983g but still offers a robust and reliable solution.
