Phil Jones is new cyber security head at Airbus Defence and Space
Phil (above) who has previously worked for Thales for 20 years will spearhead the company’s cyber security expertise. He will be based in Newport and London.
At InfoSecurity this week, Phil launched an innovative cyber sensor called Keelback Net that enables early detection and in-depth analysis of weak signals, which are virtually impossible to detect through conventional means.
Keelback Net helps combat Advanced Persistent Threats – some of the most serious attacks that pose a real threat to our critical national infrastructure. It continuously monitors traffic flow that enables early detection of investigation of suspect behaviour on company networks and in particular ‘weak signals’.
“Keelback Net combines classic methods like signature tracking and state-of-the-art detection based on behaviour, and a new method of weak signal reconnaissance, that can reveal the activities of attackers,” said Phil
“Customers benefit from an identification and characterization of cyber threats through a combination of capabilities working on network level of customers’ IT infrastructure. Moreover, Keelback Net is offered as a service which can be tailored to suit the customer’s network.”
