Phoenix Dynamics and Advanced Fiber Products form alliance

Phoenix Dynamics and Advanced Fiber Products have come together to create a new alliance that will combine the individual strengths of each company to generate opportunities to grow market share.

The alliance recognises the many synergies between Phoenix Dynamics’ copper wire harnesses and electro-mechanical products and Advanced Fiber Products’ fiber optic connectivity products. The result is that the two companies will now work together to maximise both companies’ portfolios of products and increase market share across various sectors.

In developing this alliance, both companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) that will be the foundation of ongoing development of strategic co-operation between Phoenix Dynamics and Advanced Fiber Products. The targeted outcome of this MoU is to enable the two businesses to maximise the potential of the market sectors they already share, and also to develop new business in areas where there is currently no overlap. It will also lead to the development of mutually beneficial products, programs, projects and associated activities, particularly in the defence and industrial market segments. By developing this new close working relationship both companies will benefit from mixed technology enquiries from customers and both will be in a position to support and service those enquiries with the backing of each businesses’ in-depth expert knowledge.

“I am very happy to have formalised our partnership with Advanced Fiber Products (AFP). At the Phoenix Dynamics Group (PDG), the ethos has always been to add value for the customer through the application of Engineering and Technology. AFP has a similar mind set and are experts in the field of fiber optic solutions. The major benefit for our customer base is that both AFP and PDG can now offer a full spectrum of high quality, technology driven, solutions backed up by expert knowledge and a wealth of experience,” Says Graeme Boull, Group Managing Director, Phoenix Dynamics.

“Bringing together the technology pedigree of Phoenix Dynamics and Advanced Fiber Products will provide our customers with a single point of contact to evaluate the best in class integrated copper and fiber solutions for their projects. This collaboration will provide both organisations improved access to new and complementary technologies and products. We also envisage an increased market presence in Europe and North America due to the opportunities created thanks to the complimentary nature of our individual client bases, with particular emphasis on the defence and industrial sectors,” says Richard Durrant, Group CEO, Advanced Fiber Products.
