Raytheon UK names Donelson director of Programme Delivery & Mission Assurance

Based in Harlow, Donelson will be responsible for the Programme Management organisation, Engineering, Quality and 6 Sigma for Raytheon UK and its overseas subsidiaries.
“A key focus will be to help grow the business through further strengthening our operations and bolstering our position as a UK top tier defence company,” said Roy Donelson, Programme Delivery and Mission Assurance director. “Raytheon UK is actively investing in new markets, technologies, infrastructure and recruitment to grow our capabilities.”

Donelson (right) has been with Raytheon since 1999 and is a systems engineer by background. He was previously director of the Tomahawk Missile programme within Raytheon Missile Systems in Tucson, Arizona for the last five years. During his time, on the Tomahawk programme, he and his team achieved over 66 months of on-time deliveries, an outstanding flight test record, and the start of Tactical Tomahawk modernisation. He has worked on a variety of missile programs in both engineering and programme management leadership roles.
Prior to joining Raytheon, Donelson worked as a system architect on C4I systems with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, a management consulting company. He joined the US Army in 1993 rising to become a military intelligence officer, where he served for five years and attained the rank of Captain.
Donelson holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point, New York, and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Phoenix.
