Rolls-Royce Trent XWB engines selected by IAG

Rolls-Royce has been selected by International Airlines Group (IAG) to provide Trent XWB engines for eight Airbus A350-900s.

The aircraft will be operated by Iberia and are in addition to eight Trent XWB-powered A350-900s ordered by IAG for Iberia in August last year.

Dominic Horwood, Rolls-Royce, Chief Customer Officer – Civil Large Engines, said: “We welcome IAG’s decision to select further aircraft powered by our Trent XWB engines. We look forward to delivering outstanding engine performance to a valued customer.”
