RPI appoints distributors in USA, Asia and Europe

Bath-based specialist developer and manufacturer of precision positioning devices for high accuracy rotary and angular inspection systems, RPI, has extended its global reach by appointing five new distributors and is looking for more.

The new distributors located in Bulgaria (2M Trading), South Korea (Teachang Trading Corp), Turkey (6 Nokta Teknoloji), Thailand (Max Value Technology Company Ltd) and the USA (Wyvern) will market RPI’s full product range and be responsible for after-sales service.

RPI products deliver high load, rotational accuracy and precision for a number of markets, specifically; aerospace, gas turbines, CMM, calibration and standards labs, universities, optics, scientific research, navigation and guidance systems, encoders, hirth couplings and precision gears.

RPI’s rotary and angular inspection systems fall into four product families: iMAP, GeoInspec, Calibration and Quadrant - RPI’s new range for CMM rotary tables.

Jim Palmer, RPI’s Sales Manager, said: “We welcome these expert partners in our continued drive to increase our exports. RPI already has a significant presence in a number of countries and these new distributors will help strengthen this network.  Each company has the technical capabilities and knowledge of the local market to deliver high sales in their territory, and we look forward to building relationships in these countries.”

Timothy Matyushin, General Manager of 2M Trading, said: “RPI’s range of circular geometry products and services are a must in the world of metrology and quality manufacturing. We have just installed one of the products, a Quad Slimline, on a Wenzel CMM, which has enabled highly precise metrology to be achieved. This wouldn’t have been possible without RPI’s support, and we are finding huge interest in what they can do and are working flat out on enquiries.”

RPI grew out of acquisitions from Airmatic, Optical Measuring Tools and Eimeldingen. Since the 1940s, it has been one of the world’s largest designers and manufacturers of precision rotary tables and a supplier of rotary tables to the aerospace, automotive, power generation, machine tool, scientific and general engineering industries.
