SC21 surges forward in Ireland

The SC21 programme is surging forward in Ireland, both in the North and South of Ireland.

Bombardier Aerospace are long-term champions of SC21 and have led three clusters of Northern Ireland suppliers through the programme. Last year they also launched SC21 for a group of suppliers based in the South of Ireland.

B/E Aerospace, who manufacture one third of the global supply of aircraft seats, has also launched SC21 for some of their suppliers in Northern Ireland.

The programme has been well supported by Invest Northern Ireland and Enterprise Ireland.

It is a very strong performing region in the aerospace supply chain. Companies that have received SC21 Awards are seeing significant benefits and growth in business. Overall in terms of delivery performance, SC21 companies are outperforming non SC21 companies by over 30%.

The first companies on the programme that have maintained the quality standards have shown on average a 75% growth in sales.

In Spring of 2016 ADS are considering holding the SC21 Task Force in Dublin.
