Serena Software to present Evangelism for Information at Defence Information 2013

Serena Software today announced it will be presenting a session on 'Evangelism for Information' at the Defence Information 2013 conference being held at the Defence Academy of the UK in Shrivenham (17-18th April) which will discuss the challenges presented by securing collaboration across Team Defence.

Team Defence consists of stakeholders across the UK defence sector, including the government, armed forces and non-governmental organisations. Kevin Parker (above), vice president and chief evangelist at Serena Software will be presenting a session entitled ‘Evangelism for Information’ which will cover the value of information as an asset within the defence sector. This will take place on the first day of the conference.

“The defence industry recognises the need for better working processes around information and software development. To be more efficient, it’s important for them to take stock of the information they have and make sure it is being used in a smart, secure way,” commented Mark Slater, regional director for UK and Ireland at Serena Software. “This event is a good opportunity to explore how truly valuing information as an asset can help organisations increase visibility around their processes and be more effective.”

Serena Software provides organisations with solutions to improve their business processes around application delivery, from initial demand within the business through to development and deployment out to the wider enterprise. By taking an integrated approach to working with existing tools and solutions across the software development supply chain, Serena Software can orchestrate the process and help teams deliver better quality applications faster and more efficiently.

Earlier this month, Serena Software joined forces with Critical Software to develop a Safety Critical Certification Management solution which should make it faster, simpler and more cost-effective for software developers working in the aerospace and defence sectors to meet safety standards such as DO-178C.
