Singapore Airlines selects Rolls-Royce's Trent 1000 for 50 Dreamliners
The announcement, which includes long-term TotalCare® service support, is worth $4bn at current list prices.
Thirty Boeing 787-10X aircraft will be operated by Singapore Airlines. The airline's subsidiary, Scoot will operate 10 Boeing 787-8 and 10 Boeing 787-9 aircraft.

Singapore Airlines and Scoot currently operate a total of 88 Rolls-Royce powered aircraft, with 88 more on order.

The Trent 1000 powered Boeing 787 Dreamliner entered service in October 2011 and has completed more than 50,000 flying hours with a 99.9% dispatch reliability - a record for a widebody engine. The Trent 1000 delivers the best fuel burn performance on the aircraft and is designed to meet the thrust requirements for all versions of the Boeing 787 Dreamliner.
The Singapore Airlines order for the Boeing 787-10X is conditional on Boeing formally launching the programme.
