Snowflake launches GO Loader Aviation

Snowflake Software has today announced the launch of GO Loader Aviation, its new data loading and management solution specifically targeted for Aeronautical Information Management (AIM).

The announcement was made during the ATCA 59th Annual Conference where Snowflake is participating.

GO Loader Aviation is the data loading solution for AIM. Built on Snowflake’s proven GO Loader platform, GO Loader Aviation provides aviation data users the ability to load and manage the next generation of AIM data standards – without re-engineering of existing systems or custom development. As a result, GO Loader Aviation is future proofed to handle the evolution of AIM data.

GO Loader Aviation enables data modelling, table creation, partitioning, indexing, updates and archiving, and is capable of managing data in relational databases from a simple desktop interface.

“Nothing is hardcoded to a particular exchange model or underlying database model, making our software incredibly flexible and adaptable to the continuing evolution of AIM data exchange models.” explains Snowflake’s Chief Technology Officer, Eddie Curtis.

“Unlike custom solutions, our generic approach means that as new versions and extensions of data models are released, our software adapts to the changes without the need for costly redevelopment. This is incredibly important within Aviation where the new data models of AIXM, WXXM and FIXM, for example, are constantly being improved.”

Taking the hassle out of loading AIXM, I/WXXM, and FIXM GO Loader Aviation comes with pre-configured project templates, enabling users to load data in a matter of minutes with a 1-click process.

Using GO Loader Aviation Agent, users can minimise the work needed to keep their data holding up to date via a command line interface script. It is as simple as setting up a script and configuring a GO Loader Aviation project. Scripts can then be scheduled to run at a time that suits business requirements, enabling full automation of the data load lifecycle.

“Our tried and trusted GO Loader platform has already proven itself across the World in multiple domains including Aviation, Defence, Enterprise Data Provision, and National Mapping so we are proud to be able to provide a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software product specifically designed to enable aviation organisations to exchange and manage the next generation of aeronautical information freely between systems in a vendor agnostic and interoperable manner.” comments Ian Painter, Chief Executive Officer of Snowflake Software.
