Preparation is crucial in ensuring the safety of ASOs, and this preparation extends to the choosing of body armour. It is not paranoia to assume that an attack may happen, even if in all likelihood it is extremely rare. Part of working in the Security profession is being prepared, and body armour will not only protect you against weapons, but will protect against blunt force and accidental injuries that can occur in any workplace, and may also provide an invaluable psychological effect for both you and the public.
