SSTL US partners with Aeroflex on GPS Receivers

Surrey Satellite Technology US LLC - a wholly owned subsidiary of Surrey Satellite Technology Limited (SSTL) - announced a contract for the batch production of its industry-leading SGR-10 Space GPS Receiver, with Aeroflex's division in Colorado Springs, Colorado, as a strategic partner for the in-country manufacture of electronic assemblies.

Dr. John Paffett, SST-US CEO commented: “We are delighted to work with Aeroflex on this first contract. With Aeroflex’s facilities in nearby Colorado Springs, this is an important step in the development of our in-country capabilities to support our growing US subsystem customer base, and we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”

The SGR-10 Space GPS Receiver provides position, velocity, and time determination information for spacecraft navigation in low-Earth orbit. The SGR-10 has extensive flight heritage—Surrey has supplied the receiver for NASA, the United States Air Force, European Space Agency, and other customer missions worldwide.
