Steve Playdon joins MicroCare

Steve (right) brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the electronics industry to his new position. He began his business career in the sales and service of consumer electronics. He moved into a specialised niche in the print industry, manufacturing and supplying speciality labels. He also has held sales positions in the electronics sector at ADT Fire and Security and then at Morse Watchmans Inc.
Being responsible for a number of prestigious accounts he quickly became a successful member of both organisations. He moved to PACE Europe Ltd. in 2012 as their Export Sales Manager. During his time at PACE, Steve gained valuable experience in the manufacturing, rework and repair of modern PCBs using the latest technology. His role involved extensive travel throughout the East and West Europe, Russia, and North Africa where he worked with numerous distributors and manufacturers. He thoroughly understands distribution management, the complexities of international sales, the urgency of logistics and the market demand for quality products at competitive prices.
Steve has a keen interest in rowing and is a member of the Henley Stewards (Royal Regatta) in the UK. For the last 10 years, he has coached a junior rowing team. He lives in the UK and speaks French and German.
