Third Dimension wins export award
Described by the judges as a "champion for exports", Third Dimension has seen its sales overseas increase exponentially in recent years. In 2012 exports accounted for 64% of sales, and this has increased to 84% this year; as export sales have grown five-fold in the past six years. Third Dimension works with leading multinational companies such as Airbus, Volkswagen, Lockheed, Mitsubishi and Embraer. The company was also shortlisted for the Aerospace/ Defence Award.
Third sells either directly or harnesses the power of its distribution network to increase sales around the world and open up new markets in the following countries: China, Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, India, Australia, Russia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Spain, Sweden, Benelux, Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Argentina, Brazil, South Africa, USA and Canada.
Peter Marchbank, CEO at Third Dimension said: “Exporting is now the lifeblood of our business. Over the past couple of years we have invested heavily in our systems, processes and people to enable our exports to increase substantially. This award is recognition of this, but especially celebrates the hard work of all our staff and international partners.”
Third Dimension’s GapGun is fast, comfortable and extremely easy to use for quality inspection of small features on manufactured parts. It operates with varied connectivity options, wireless mode and the ability to integrate well with Third party systems.
Third has recently launched the GapGun Pro. GapGun Pro builds on all the key capabilities of the GapGun Plus series but with greatly increased speed, ease of use, improved portability and a more rugged design.
Third Dimension’s range of GapGun profile measurement systems has the unique ability to measure without ever needing to touch the surface. This maximises the accuracy and repeatability of results whilst eliminating potential surface damage and enabling the measurement of soft or unfixed parts.
Additionally, a multitude of challenging surface finishes can be measured, using Third Dimension's HiRange sensor technology. Its patented adjustable laser cap can uniquely shorten or split the laser line to measure a range of complex features.
