UK Space Conference 2013 to focus on economic growth

The biennial event will look at how the UK can realise its ambitions in space, including making a global impact with science and research, contributing to the UK's economic growth by developing new commercial applications and businesses and developing the interactions between these activities.

The conference programme will be configured to:
- Facilitate interactions between communities from academia, the space industry, end-users, financiers and government
- Provide a platform for reporting on the Innovation and Growth Strategy Re-stack and on implementation of the actions arising from it
- Attract international delegates and speakers wishing to find out more about developments in space policy and activities in the UK
The UK Space Conference 2013 is organised by Intellect Event Management in association with UK Space, Scottish Enterprise, the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Royal Astronomical Society and the British Interplanetary Society.
The UK Space Conference Organising Committee is comprised of various organisations within the space community, including the UK Space Agency, Logica and Royal Astronomical Society.
On the evening of Tuesday 16 July a Conference Dinner will be held which will feature the prestigious Sir Arthur Clarke Awards.
