UK Space offers EPSC student grants

The UK Space Agency is offering grants for UK students interested in attending the European Planetary Science Congress (EPSC) 2013, taking place at University College London, 08 – 13 September 2013.

 

The EPSC is a major platform to exchange and present results, develop new ideas and to network with the planetary science community in Europe. There will be a mix of presented papers, workshops and posters covering the whole scope of planetary science.

To apply for the Student Grant, students must be enrolled in higher education programmes (MSc, PhD) and provide the following information:

• Name and contact information

• Names of higher education institution, course and level of study

• 200 words detailing:

   - your motivation to attend the EPSC,

   - the relevance of the conference to your area of research,

   - the relevance of your research or study to the UK’s exploration programme,

   - what you hope to learn there and why you consider yourself a good candidate to be sponsored.

Please submit all applications to Madeleine Russell at the UK Space Agency (madeleine.russell[@]ukspaceagency.bis.gsi.gov.uk). The deadline for application is midnight 21 July 2013.

UK Space Agency grants will cover the registration fee for 15 students.  Recipients will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation.

Please be aware that UCL students will not be allowed to bid for UK Space Agency bursaries. UCL students are being funded by the university and will be automatically disqualified from this application process.
