Vector given UK MoD Chinook support contract boost

The contract, announced by Prime Minister David Cameron during a visit to Portsmouth on 17 February, will see a five year continuation of the Through Life Customer Support (TLCS) programme whereby Vector Aerospace provides maintenance, repair and overhaul for the Chinook under contract to Boeing, the manufacturer of the helicopter. Vector's Almondbank facility carries out precision testing, overhaul and repair on key components, including rotorheads and gearboxes, that are vital for the Chinook's successful and safe operation.
