Wincanton defence team maintains SC21 Gold

Wincanton’s defence team, based in Bicester, has been re-awarded Gold in the 21st Century Supply Chains (SC21) programme at The Achieving Supply Chain Excellence event in Belfast.

Of the 65 companies recognised at the event, Wincanton is the only one to hold the Gold award this year.

Ross Bannerman of Wincanton explains: “Wincanton was originally awarded Gold in October 2016.  The ability to maintain this standard is something we are really proud of.

“We are now setting the standard in an industry where customers are actively seeking this level of external recognition. It sets us apart.”

ADS Chief Executive Paul Everitt said: “By achieving the Gold Award standard in the SC21 programme, Wincanton’s defence team in Bicester has demonstrated its exceptional commitment to raising its performance. This programme helps companies put themselves in the best possible position to compete, and supports rising productivity across the UK’s aerospace and defence industries.

“As our industries get ready for Brexit, investing in competitiveness and taking part in programmes like SC21 is one of the most important steps companies can take to make sure they are well prepared.”
