CND appoints Ryan Surry as Head of Recruitment

The Bath-based cyber-security company Computer Network Defence (CND) has appointed Ryan Surry as its Head of Recruitment.

As well as its cyber-security work, the business is one of the longest-standing independent recruiters in the sector.

Ryan (above) was previously cyber security recruitment manager at the company and will now be focusing on growing the division in a quickly expanding market.

CND recruits for roles across the world, including permanent and contract work.

It has doubled the size of the recruitment team in the last 18 months and has a CV-to-interview rate of 94% and a submission-to-offer rate of just under 50%.

Ryan said: “Before joining CND I worked in finance recruitment, but I was attracted to the cyber-security industry and it has grown quickly and is an exciting sector.

“We have a team of six and benefit hugely from being able to consult with our technical staff to find out exactly what it is that clients require.

“Being part of a working cyber-security company gives us a huge advantage. In fact, our recruitment team accompanied the techies at the world’s largest hacker conference in Las Vegas, to skill up on the latest tools and techniques used by hackers.

“We recruit in the public and private sectors and operate in an ethical and transparent way which means we have high levels of client and candidate retention.

“We are always looking for people with the right skills and are happy to speak with anyone looking at working in the sector.”

“The team have already surpassed last year’s figures with four months to go and is actively recruiting more recruiting staff to ensure new clients are satisfied.

“His promotion is testament to his success and also a signal that we want to grow the recruitment part of the business.”
