Aerovolt and 3 Legs Aviation Services launch aircraft charging at Isle of Man Airport

Aerovolt UK Ltd and 3 Legs Aviation Services Ltd (based on the Isle of Man) have announced a strategic partnership to introduce electric aircraft charging solutions at Isle of Man Airport (Ronaldsway Airport).

This collaboration marks a significant milestone in advancing sustainable aviation infrastructure for the Island.

Aerovolt plans to install a fixed 44kW AS6968 charging point at Ronaldsway Airport to support aircraft charging, flight training, business, and commercial aviation operations at the airport. In addition to establishing the charging infrastructure, Aerovolt and 3 Legs Aviation Services will explore the feasibility of introducing electric flight training programs at the airport. This initiative aligns with both companies' commitment to promoting environmentally friendly aviation practices and reducing carbon emissions.

This initiative is part of Aerovolt's broader mission to deploy a global network of chargers for electric aircraft, eVTOLs, and drones, working alongside manufacturers, regulators and airport operators to facilitate the growth of zero-emission aviation. The company's efforts have already seen the successful installation of charging systems at multiple UK airports, contributing to the development of sustainable air transportation infrastructure.
