Marshall Aerospace begins new chapter as Aurelius acquisition completes
AURELIUS, a global private equity investor widely recognised for its operational approach, has completed the acquisition of British aerospace and defence specialist Marshall Aerospace.
Marshall Aerospace’s story spans more than a century. From its establishment in Cambridge in 1909 and opening its first airfield in 1929, repairing and modifying over 5,000 aircraft during WWII, to its long association with the C-130 Hercules since the 1960s and designing Concorde’s iconic nose, it has built on that heritage to support the next generation of aerospace programmes.

Bob Baxter, CEO, Marshall Aerospace, said: “This change of ownership is an important new chapter for Marshall Aerospace as an independent mid-tier British aerospace and defence company.
“In AURELIUS, we have found an owner that recognises the strength of our capabilities and the importance of the work we are delivering for our customers. Just as importantly, they have the expertise and resources to back our next phase of growth and capitalise on emerging opportunities as the defence industry continues to transform.”
