Condensing the British Army’s activities across the globe and brought into the heart of the Scotland, the Expo provides a snapshot of current British Army capabilities and future strategic direction.

Brigadier Davies MBE, 51st Infantry Brigade and Headquarters Scotland, said: "We are really excited that Army EXPO will be here in Edinburgh. It’s the Chief of the General Staff’s key strategic engagement platform and for us to be able to deliver it here in Scotland, with Scottish voices and to a predominantly Scottish audience and to the wider UK, is a great honour."

Among the highlights is Ajax, designed to be at the heart of the British Army’s future armoured fleet, an AH 64E the world’s most formidable attack helicopter, the Army’s main battle tank Challenger 2  and Jackal 2 , a unique platform using an air-bag suspension system, allowing for rapid movement across varying terrain.

Also on show will be Boxer, the combat vehicle set to become the new British Mechanised Infantry Vehicle (MIV). Its unique module design consists of a drive module and a mission module and it can be rapidly adapted to suit various military missions.

Commander 51st Infantry Brigade and Headquarters Scotland, Brigadier Jody Davies MBE said: “We are really excited that Army EXPO will be here in Edinburgh. It’s the Chief of the General Staff’s key strategic engagement platform and for us to be able to deliver it here in Scotland, with Scottish voices and to a predominantly Scottish audience and to the wider UK, is a great honour.”

Army EXPO is an immersive experience designed to showcase some of the cutting-edge equipment being brought into service and how it is integrated into the NATO alliance with the British Army talking about how they are making this transformation work both in Scotland and across the rest of the UK.

Brigadier Davies said: "Expo is an opportunity for us to really focus the audience on our purpose, our people and the modernisation programme that the British Army has. It will allow us to explain conceptually physically and practically to the delegates attending.

“It will also give the audience the opportunity to be immersed in a replicative environment of current conflict, speak to our brilliant soldiers and allow them to understand better the challenges we collectively face as an army and a nation.”

Expo 25 takes place the 18th-23rd August 2025 at Redford Cavalry Barracks, the home of 51st Infantry Brigade and Headquarters Scotland. It aims to show senior decision makers in politics and industry, senior British Army partners, stakeholders and youth influencers, within Scotland, the UK and internationally, the modern British Army.
