The contract is valued at £15.7 million.

Andy Thomis (above), Chief Executive of Cohort said: "This contract is another example of MASS’s world-leading reputation for countermeasures development, highlighting its unique position in the spectrum warfare sector.

"Together with other recent contract wins across the Group, including the £60 million of orders referenced in our AGM announcement on 25th September, this success further enhances the visibility of our future revenues."

Cohort is the parent company of seven businesses providing a wide range of services and products for British and international customers in defence, security and related markets.

Cohort was founded on the principle that SME-size businesses can prosper by being part of a larger group, where they can benefit from financial oversight, management support and the exchange of information and practices. Its seven operating subsidiaries are Chess, EID, ELAC SONAR, MASS, MCL, SEA and EMS.

The headquarters of the Cohort Group are in Reading, Berkshire and in total it employs around 1,000 core staff there and at its other operating company sites across the UK, Germany and Portugal.
