SPX Communication Technologies showcasing capabilities at Security & Policing 2025

SPX Communication Technologies, formed by TCI and ECS, will be showcasing its Data Links, COMINT and Counter-UAS capabilities and solutions at this year's Home Office Security & Policing Global Security Event, being held at the Farnborough International Exhibition and Conference Centre, 11th-13th March 2025.

SPX Communication Technologies will be showcasing several capabilities and solutions at Security & Policing 2025, including:

Tactical Data Links
Data Links provide real-time intelligence-gathering across land, sea, air for advanced intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) and incident response. The Evenlode Video and Audio Encoder / Decoder delivers improved low-latency, long-range, high-definition video and audio transfer for faster and more accurate intelligence-gathering. It supplies high-efficiency video coding and low-latency encoding to deliver superior multivideo compression for efficient video recording and real-time, secure distribution. Latency below 120 milliseconds end-to-end enables even greater situational awareness, and more accurate, faster response for security and emergency services teams.

COMINT

COMINT Radio Frequency (RF) Receivers allow superior identification, direction-finding, and tracking of hostile RF signals. The 953 COMINT RF Receiver is portable for dismounted operations and easily mounted on a vehicle to support mobility operations. For example, it can be carried to an elevated position in a dismounted role, such as a tactical position only accessible on foot or on top of a high-rise building, to ensure the antenna is situated at height for optimum signal detection and increased range.

Counter-UAS
The BLACKTALON Ecosystem is a scalable Counter-UAS solution that detects, tracks and defeats UAS engaged in hostile activity or surveillance by a nuisance drone enthusiast, insurgents or state actors. It provides comprehensive situational awareness and mitigation as a standalone or networked capability, as a multi-layered Counter-UAS, or as a component of a ground-based air defence (GBAD) system.

It integrates SPX Communication Technologies’ BLACKTALON Counter-UAS technology and decades of expertise in the space with a vendor-agnostic framework, an approach that ensures solutions can meet every team's unique requirements. Security forces therefore gain from a tailored approach to their specific concept of operations, threats, user groups, existing capabilities and budgets.
