Serco has been awarded a task order to support the US Army‘s Command Post Modernisation (CPMod) programme, delivering mobile, scalable and agile command and control capabilities to tactical formations.

Issued under the Army’s Responsive Strategic Sourcing for Services (RS3) contract, the new task order will lead to an expansion of Serco’s role in a programme that the company has supported since 2019.

Serco will provide programme management, engineering, integration, testing, logistics, training and sustainment to support a broad range of potential operational deployments.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Integrating hardware and software onto tactical vehicle platforms
  • Fabricating and installing the foundational infrastructure for mission equipment known as A-kit components
  • Managing logistics and fielding activities

To support all of this work, Serco says it is expecting to add more than 200 job roles.

Anthony Kirby, Serco Group Chief Executive, said: “We are incredibly proud to support the US Army in this modernisation programme, delivering mobile, scalable and agile command and control capabilities to field operations, increasing the number and speed of deployments, underpinned by technical innovation.

” This reflects our deep technical expertise and our role as a trusted defence partner in supporting the US Army to transform how commanders operate on today’s battlefield.”
