ACS UK unveils OMNIA at AIX 2026

Marking its return to Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) 2026, ACS UK has unveiled OMNIA to demonstrate its capabilities in the design, engineering and manufacturing of customised premium cabin interiors.

Presented as a unified display comprising a pair of complementary units, OMNIA brings together a range of innovative features. It illustrates how traditionally crew-focused and shared cabin spaces can deliver the same premium design, functionality and brand expression increasingly expected by airlines and passengers travelling on modern aircraft.

Nigel McSorley, CEO of ACS UK, said: “With OMNIA, our aim was to create a cohesive showcase that clearly defines what makes ACS UK a distinctive partner. It distils our experience, engineering capability and design ambitions into a single display that sparks ideas and opens meaningful conversations with both new and existing customers. OMNIA reflects how we work – integrated thinking from the outset, focused on delivering bespoke solutions that work harder for airlines and elevate the cabin experience beyond standard offerings. We look forward to seeing how these concepts translate into future programmes.”

At the heart of the display is OMNIA’s centre galley, which draws on ACS UK’s decades of experience delivering premium, bespoke galley solutions for airline customers. With its refined visual presence and highly functional layout, the galley illustrates how complex cabin architecture can successfully blend operational efficiency with elevated design.

Anchoring the galley is ACS UK’s patent-pending adaptive worktop, developed to address the ongoing demand for increased working area in one of the cabin’s most demanding environments. The system more than doubles the usable work surface for crew while reducing maintenance complexity and improving cleanliness. Complementing this is a simplified upper-door mechanism replacing the traditional roller blind, together addressing common operational choke points and supporting crew in delivering a signature premium service with greater ease.

Branding is seamlessly woven into the bespoke units through a cascading illuminated panel with upholstered sections spanning the aisle, alongside a welcome panel that combines an edge-lit machined logo with an aerospace-grade natural wood veneer – ACS UK’s first project to feature this material.

Both elements are brought to life by ACS UK’s Autonomous Lighting Dimmer (ALD), which allows airlines to control lighting on bespoke units without interfacing directly with the cabin control systems. This unique capability is a highlight of ACS UK’s portfolio of flying products, already deployed across multiple platforms in service.

Another key element of OMNIA is the dual-aspect bar area, where complementary zones mirrored across the aisle create a distinctive ‘third space’ for passengers. Enhanced with engineered stone worktop inlays and metallic feature panels, the layout responds to evolving onboard service trends and the growing demand for more efficient, destination-led spaces within the cabin. These areas are supported by self-service options for passengers, including an open pantry and a glass-fronted fridge unit.

OMNIA’s outboard unit highlights ACS UK’s expertise in Front Row Monument (FRM) design, demonstrating how seat-back styling and cabin design language can be seamlessly extended beyond the seating area, even where different certification requirements apply. Through a holistic approach from the outset, the FRM is reimagined to deliver an elevated passenger experience, create distinctive brand moments and optimise space, driving meaningful differentiation for airlines.

Reed Webb, Industrial Designer at ACS UK, added: “With OMNIA, our objective was to challenge traditional perceptions of cabin monuments as purely functional space-fillers. By applying integrated, whole-cabin thinking from the very start, we’ve shown how galleys and Front Row Monuments can work harder for passengers, crew and airlines alike – becoming intuitive, premium touchpoints designed with clear purpose. OMNIA demonstrates that a truly distinctive world-class cabin experience is about more than seats alone; it’s about considering every aspect of the journey.”
