The Farnborough International Airshow returns from 20-24 July with a diverse aircraft line-up that includes commercial airliners, military aircraft, business jets, electric aircraft, helicopters, cargo aircraft and historic warbirds.

From the debut of the Bombardier Global 8000 and the latest Airbus and Embraer airliners to fifth-generation fighters, autonomous aircraft and next-generation electric aviation, this year’s static and flying displays showcase aviation tradition and hint at where aerospace is heading over the next decade. 

Commercial airliners

Commercial aviation plays a prominent role at Farnborough, with manufacturers displaying aircraft aimed at airlines, lessors and cargo operators.

The A350-1000 continues to represent Airbus’ flagship long-haul twinjet, while the E195-E2 showcases Embraer’s latest regional aircraft technology.

The appearance of the F-35A reflects the growing importance of fifth-generation combat aircraft, while the Typhoon, Gripen and L-159 highlight NATO air power as European defence spending increases.

Business and general aviation manufacturers once again use Farnborough to showcase their newest aircraft to corporate operators.

  • BETA Technologies CX300 and ALIA MV250 — representing the rapid evolution of electric aviation.
  • Embraer C-390 Millennium — increasingly successful in the military transport market.

With commercial aviation, defence, sustainable aviation and advanced air mobility all represented, the 2026 aircraft line-up at Farnborough International Airshow includes a broad mix of technologies shaping the aerospace industry. 

Organisers note that additional aircraft may be announced before the show opens on 20 July, and display schedules remain subject to change.
