Securitas UK achieves JOIFF accreditation

Originally founded by firefighters responding to emergency oil rig incidents, JOIFF is a respected, not for profit organisation dedicated to improving standards and shared learning across the high hazard industry. Its accreditation is internationally recognised for its focus on competency based training, ensuring emergency responders are properly prepared for incidents.
Securitas UK joined JOIFF as a member in April 2025, commencing a period of close engagement focused on strengthening training standards. That work culminated in a formal onsite audit carried out by JOIFF in April 2026, resulting in Securitas being accredited as a JOIFF training provider.
Themes JOIFF included during its audit looked at safety management, instructor knowledge and course design.
Following an intensive audit, JOIFF concluded Securitas UK had met these strict industry standards – awarding full accreditation.
“This is a significant step for Securitas UK, reinforcing the strength and credibility of our emergency response training,” said Paul Rankin, Director of Fire and Aviation at Securitas UK.
“JOIFF accreditation is a recognised standard that organisations look for when selecting emergency response and preparedness training. As an independent mark of assurance, it reflects the professionalism of our training teams and the work they’ve put into delivering robust, competency‑based training.”
The accreditation represents an important milestone for Securitas UK’s fire and emergency response capability and supports its continued work with organisations operating in complex, high risk environments.
