Sirius Insight recognised with King’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation

Awarded by His Majesty The King, the Company has been recognised for its excellence in innovation as a highly entrepreneurial SME that has developed and deployed next generation maritime domain awareness technology to promote and enhance security, safety and sustainability at sea in the UK and in overseas markets.

Sirius’s technology provides maritime authorities with real-time information and autonomous alerts about unusual or suspicious activity at sea, supporting their work to tackle modern maritime challenges across defence, environmental damage, illegal fishing, and security.

Sirius is one of just 46 organisations nationwide to be recognised with a prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in the innovation category.

Sirius Insight – the trading name of Sirius Constellation Ltd, a privately owned UK business founded in 2016 – has developed its services in collaboration with a wide variety of users including the UK’s Joint Maritime Security Centre (JMSC), operators and watchkeepers on land and sea, marine insurance providers and maritime regulators. Sirius has worked extensively with leading researchers at UK universities including King’s College London and the University of Portsmouth, and has received funding from Innovate UK and the European Space Agency.

The King’s Awards for Enterprise are the most prestigious business awards in the UK. The awards were first established in 1965 and since then over 8000 companies have achieved a King’s Award. 2025 marks the third year of The King’s Awards for Enterprise, reflecting His Majesty The King’s desire to continue the legacy of HM Queen Elizabeth II’s by recognising outstanding UK businesses.

The awards celebrate the success of exciting and innovative businesses which are leading the way with pioneering products or services, delivering impressive social mobility programmes, or showing their commitment to excellent sustainable development practices.

This year, 46 businesses have been recognised for their contribution to Innovation.
