Brookhouse Aerospace expands capabilities with advanced tech

Darwen based Brookhouse Aerospace has introduced multiple new technologies to enhance its production capabilities.

Darwen-based Brookhouse Aerospace has introduced multiple new technologies to enhance its production capabilities.

Investment into new technologies, to the value of £165k, will contribute to its build-to-print drive and enhance the manufacture of composite and metallic components for aerospace and defence markets.

New advanced scanning technology brings the precision manufacturer the ability to develop model data for reverse engineering requirements, plus the capability to scan tools and components throughout the manufacturing process, to optimise conformity and quality control.

Bespoke production requirements

In addition, Brookhouse is also introducing specialist thermoplastic forming technology, which will enable the aerospace specialist to deliver custom solutions for a wide range of applications, including aircraft interiors and drone technologies.

Matthew Rossiter, CEO of Brookhouse Aerospace, said: “The production efficiencies and extended capabilities these new technologies bring further support our ability to deliver value and increased levels of capacity for our customers, to support future production schedules.”


Working with OEM and Tier 1 & 2 customers, Brookhouse Aerospace looks to provide increased capacity to support aerospace production requirements. With over 260 employees, it provides composites, fabrication, machining, treatments and engineering expertise for companies such as BAE Systems, Airbus and Rolls-Royce.

Composite cutting tools

Over recent months the business has also introduced a new composite routing cutter system, re-modelled its tooling methodology and introduced new tube winder equipment, to further optimise efficiencies across its composites manufacturing processes.

More widely the engineering business has expanded with the addition of a new 41,000 square foot facility, invested over £500k in new precision machining machinery, opened-up internal treatment capabilities to meet increased market demand and secured consortium funding for an innovate manufacturing solution. Towards the end of 2025 it also acquired precision component manufacturing business, Parker Precision, to further extend its capabilities across aerospace and wider sectors.
