Aircraft deals announced on Day Three of the Farnborough International Airshow were worth £3.8 billion ($5.2 billion) at list prices, including an estimated £765 million ($1 billion) of content for the UK, according to analysis by ADS.

The day’s activity consisted exclusively of 35 firm Airbus aircraft orders, adding to the substantial commercial momentum generated during the first two days of the show.

Across Days One, Two and Three, the total value of deals has reached £62.7 billion ($84.4 billion), according to ADS analysis. An estimated £10.8 billion ($14.6 billion) of that value will flow to the UK through its aerospace manufacturing and supply chain capabilities.

The figures underline the international reach of the UK aerospace sector. Aircraft assembled overseas contain engines, wings, landing gear, avionics and other systems developed or manufactured by businesses across the country.

ADS calculated the figures using an exchange rate of £0.743 to $1. Values are based on published list prices and do not account for confidential commercial discounts.
