ADS announces new president
Mr Bryson (above) will take up the role alongside his position as CEO of GKN Aerospace and Land Systems and that of co-chair of the successful and strategically important Aerospace Growth Partnership.
Marcus Bryson, the incoming President of ADS Group commented: “This is an exciting time for our sectors: there has been great progress during the last two years and the prospects are good but we cannot afford to be complacent. Mr Bryson takes over the ADS presidency from Robin Southwell, CEO of Airbus Group UK, who held the position for two years.

Marcus joined GKN’s Aerospace division in 1984 as part of the finance team at FPT Industries based in Portsmouth. Following promotion to financial director in 1990 and general manager in 1992, Marcus moved to GKN Aerospace Services’ Isle of Wight operation as general manager of the Supplies Division, and became general manager of the entire Isle of Wight operation in 1997.
In 2000 Marcus added to this responsibility the complex task of rationalising the GKN Aerospace Services business internationally and overseeing the critical acquisition of the Boeing Military Aircraft and Missile Systems Group’s fabrication facility in St Louis, Missouri, USA. When this project was completed he moved into the role of CEO Europe.
He was appointed president and CEO of GKN Aerospace Services’ European businesses in February 2003, and then president and CEO of GKN Aerospace Propulsion Systems and Special Products in October 2004.
Marcus joined the Executive Committee in January 2006 on his appointment as chief executive of GKN Aerospace and was appointed to the Board of GKN plc in June 2007. He assumed responsibility for the Group’s Land Systems business on 1 October 2011.
