Paul Everitt, CEO of ADS Group said: “ADS hosts the only dinner of this type which brings together nearly 1,000 representatives from across the aerospace, defence, security and space sectors. Collectively these industries turnover £53bn annually; provide 310,000 jobs, and make a direct contribution to national prosperity and security.

“The dinner was an occasion to reflect on the many achievements made by our sectors including: record aerospace deliveries in 2015, and Major Tim Peake’s mission to the International Space Station. It was also an opportunity to look ahead at our priorities in 2016; taking forward our industrial strategies, implementing the Strategic Defence and Security Review and supporting UK businesses to access market opportunities at home and in fast growing international markets. The Farnborough International Airshow is just six months away and an ideal showcase for UK aerospace innovation and expertise.”

The event was sponsored by Atkins and raised £7000 for the Armed Forces charity SSAFA, with Allan Cook pledging an additional £3,000 from Atkins.
