Aerobility’s Armchair Airshow returns as Aerobility Live

The Armchair Airshow - launched four years ago when pandemic restrictions banned public events to give aviation fans behind the scenes insights from their living rooms - is returning on Saturday 15th June as a live event, Aerobility Live.

This year’s event will again be live-streamed online with a new name - ‘Aerobility Live’ - but will also have a limited number of tickets for those who want to watch in person from Blackbushe Airport.

Blackbushe Air Day is an annual event celebrating all things aviation, featuring a static aircraft display, pleasure flights and fun for all of the family. Aerobility will be hosting its own area for the first time this year named the ‘Aerobility Live zone’. This area will feature a big screen showing specially recorded aerial demonstrations, including live commentary from real pilots, providing a fascinating insight into the skills required to perform these flying feats.

The show promises to have fascinating pre-recorded flying displays, insight from high-profile pilots, an exciting aviation-themed raffle with impressive prizes, plus more.

Aerobility is a charity which provides anyone, with any disability, access to the magic and wonder of flight.

Aerobility CEO Mike Miller-Smith said: “Aerobility Live was initially born out of the necessity of public events being banned as a result of the pandemic. In the years following, we have been able to build on our original idea and in 2024 we are so excited to have a live audience as well as one online.

“Whether you are an aviation enthusiast or not there will be something for everyone. By watching the show at home or in person, you will be supporting the important work that we do all year round.”

“As a charity, we have immense gratitude for the amazing support we receive from the aviation community. I truly hope you will be able to support the Aerobility Live this year and by doing so support the work we do with disabled people.”
