Airbus CEO urges UK to avoid no-deal Brexit

Airbus CEO, Tom Enders, has outlined why a no-deal Brexit puts the future of Airbus' wing construction facilities being maintained in the UK, in doubt.

Building on a proud 100-year British aviation heritage, every wing on Airbus commercial aircraft is designed and manufactured in the UK. Tom Enders explained that the continued manufacturing presence of Airbus in the UK is under threat if there is a no-deal Brexit, placing 6,000 jobs at its main wings factory at Broughton, Wales and 3,000 at Filton, near Bristol, in jeopardy. He said: "It is a disgrace that more than two years after the result of the 2016 Referendum, businesses are still unable to plan properly for the future."
