ALTEN acquires WEC

ALTEN has announced the acquisition of Woodford Engineering Consultancy (UK) Ltd (WEC), a provider of engineering services renowned for their expertise in developing and integrating systems into vehicle platforms.

This strategic acquisition enhances ALTEN's systems engineering capabilities and positions it as a key partner within the UK aerospace and defence industry.

Founded in 2009 by a team of engineers from BAE Systems Airframe Systems design office, WEC has a rich history of delivering engineering solutions. Their team brings decades of experience at the forefront of British and European aircraft design, manufacture and support, having shaped the systems of iconic aircraft over the past 30 years.

WEC's portfolio includes collaborations with industry blue-chip companies such as BAE Systems, the UK Ministry of Defence and Airbus. Their experience spans a diverse range of products, including civil and military aircraft, submarines and unmanned aerial vehicles.
