Winners of the 2016 AOA Awards are as follows:-

• Best Exhibition Stand: Vanderlande

• Best Innovator: Babcock International Group, for their unique solution from concept to completion, addressing a specific airport issue, creating a single source of real-time information for over 100 stakeholders which dramatically improved the efficiency of communication.
   
• Vanderlande was commended for their impressive submission where the customer praised them for their innovation and creativity, which contributed to a successful project improving capacity by 38%.

• Best Business Partner: Hydrock, in recognition of their strong partnership approach across airport processes, their understanding of airport needs and the strong value they add in solving problems.

• Wilson James was highly commended in the Best Business Partner category for their impressive engagement with the local community.
   
• Best Consultancy: Osprey Consulting Services, for demonstrating the great operations benefit to airports based on multi-agency working to develop solutions, freeing up staff and protecting airports long-term.
   
• SafeSkys Ltd was commended for a their demonstration of collaborative working to solve problems and provide training to futureproof the solution.

• Best Service Provider: Met Office, in recognition of the way they work to the customer’s requirements, improving on the existing product and continuously looking to improve on their offering
   
• Omniserve Ltd was commended for its impressive demonstration of taking the customer’s values to heart.

• Best Small Business: realtimeknowledge.com, for the way they have responded and worked closely with customers, adding value through a connected reporting environment that enables the customer to respond quickly.

• Flight Calibration Services were commended for their clear demonstration of offering valuable service to the airport environment.

• Best Environmental Initiative: Belfast International Airport, for their excellent Light Source project, which is a first of its kind in Ireland. The airport is saving 27% of its previous electricity consumption, with solar power making a valuable contribution to lowering their carbon footprint.

• Luton Airport was highly commended in the Best Environmental Initiative category because of its excellent demonstration of wider environmental benefits.

• Best Manufacturer: Aebi Schmidt, in recognition of their impressive work with Dublin Airport over the past twelve months.

• Cobalt Light Systems was commended in the Best Manufacturer category.

• Best General Aviation Airport: Gloucestershire Airport.

• Best Airport (Under 3 million passengers): London Southend Airport.

• Best Airport (3-10 million passengers): Glasgow Airport.
   
• Best Airport (Over 10 million passengers): Heathrow Airport.
