Babcock acquires Skills2Learn

Babcock International Group Plc has acquired the e-learning and virtual reality simulation company Skills2Learn.

Skills2Learn, based in Milton Keynes, is one of the UK’s premier developers of interactive digital learning and virtual reality simulation solutions.

From 10th December 2013 Skills2Learn has become part of Babcock’s Education and Training business unit.

As one of the UK’s largest private sector training providers, Babcock’s training business delivers training to a wide variety of customers across key growth sectors including emergency services, automotive, energy, engineering and the service sector. Recently voted ‘Vocational Education Provider of the Year’* and with an excellent reputation for developing and delivering innovative and effective training solutions, the acquisition will enable Babcock to provide a wider service offering through the application of new and exciting technologies.

Dr Majid Al-Kader, the current CEO of Skills2Learn, will transfer across to Babcock with the business and will continue to lead the team of talented individuals delivering engaging and impactful learning technologies.
