Baines Simmons appoints Jason Greenslade and Malcolm Rusby as Consultants

Baines Simmons, Air Partner's aviation safety consultancy division, has appointed Jason Greenslade and Malcolm Rusby as Consultants.

Both Jason and Malcolm are based at Baines Simmons' headquarters at Fairoaks airport and will report directly to Joanne Welland, Practice Director. Jason specialises in Availability, Reliability and Maintainability within the MoD environments, while Malcolm focuses on drafting, implementing, and assuring standards of Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Fatigue Risk Management (FRM).

Jason has worked in safety and airworthiness within the Aerospace Engineering industry for over 27 years. He has over 20 years’ experience within the Ministry of Defence (MoD), working in a variety of safety management, initial airworthiness, and continuing airworthiness roles. In addition to this, Jason worked at Rolls Royce for three years as a senior engineer and team leader within a safety management and continuing airworthiness capacity. Jason is a Chartered Engineer with the Royal Aeronautical Society and is a Member of the Chartered Management Institute.

Malcolm has over 20 years’ experience in managing and reducing risk in aviation across airlines and business aviation. Prior to joining Baines Simmons, he held the role of Safety Director at TAG Europe, where he was responsible for Safety Management Systems (SMS) and Fatigue Risk Management (FRMS). He was a corporate and air ambulance pilot for most of his aviation career, and also founded the Corporate Aviation Safety Executive (CASE), a project established to improve aviation safety through the collation and monitoring of data and trends in the business aviation community. Malcolm is a member of several UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) advisory groups, including SIAG, BASP, Significant 7 (CIFT) and FDM forum.
