Bombardier's Michael Ryan wins prestigious business award

Michael Ryan, General Manager for Bombardier in Belfast picked up a prestigious award at the Belfast Telegraph Business Awards.

The judging panel unanimously voted him their Businessperson of the Year, recognising a career that has spanned more than 30 years in the company.

The judges’ citation referred to his effective leadership in several key areas including transformation, links with education, and community involvement. They said he had steered the company through major changes, meeting demanding targets and enhancing the Belfast operation within the wider future plans of Bombardier.
