In a move designed to improve operational efficiency, Caerdav has adopted the cloud-based competence and compliance solution from software services provider, Elms Aviation.

Known as the Elms Solution, the new package will provide Caerdav with unprecedented levels of transparency, integrity and visibility of personnel competence, enhancing capabilities on both an organisational and individual basis. In turn this plays a key role in Caerdav’s ambitious plans for growth and continuous improvement.

The company will also utilise the versatility of the Elms Solution as part of its Apprenticeship Programme, helping to support its investment in the future of the next generation of aircraft maintenance engineers and technicians. The system will prove hugely beneficial to Caerdav’s apprentices, as it will aid them in tracking their experience and demonstrating their capabilities throughout the apprenticeship and on into their wider career.

Joachim Jones, Group CEO at Caerdav, says: “We have ambitious plans as a business but to meet those ambitions it’s imperative that we invest in ways to both manage and develop our staff – after all, they are our biggest asset.

“Elms  is the ideal tool to help us meet these needs. Its intuitive online platform provides a quick and simple way to monitor, evidence, analyse, and subsequently improve, staff competency and training – something that will also hugely benefit our new apprenticeship programme.

“We work in a high-cost, safety-critical environment but with Elms supporting our staff we can focus on continuing to develop the business as an efficient, safe and compliant organisation.”

Caerdav joins a growing customer base for Elms, with the software-as-a-service (SaaS) company planning to further enhance its product offering to provide even greater support.
