Johannes said “the European market plays an integral part of the Cathay Pacific’s network as we connect major European metropoles with China and cities across the Asia Pacific region via our home Hong Kong. Cathay Pacific has provided continuous essential air services between Asia and Europe throughout the pandemic and reinventing our product offerings to cater to the changing needs of our customers. As more and more countries in Asia open, we are excited to reconnect the two continents”.

“I look forward to working with our partners, our customers and my fabulous team so that Cathay Pacific is always at the forefront in the leisure and corporate markets, and we will continue to be the airline of choice for those travelling to and from the APAC region” added Johannes.

Paul’s new role is not only critical to shepherding this upward trajectory, but also reinforcing the transformation of our airline into one of the world’s greatest service brands.”

Cathay Pacific has rapidly resumed services within its European network since summer 2022 including multiple daily flights from the UK to Hong Kong. The airline is set to recommence services to Madrid, Milan and Zurich in the fourth quarter.
