Chemring appoints Stephen Grinham as MD, Roke Manor & MD, European Electronics Division

Chemring Group plc has announce the appointment of Stephen Grinham as Managing Director, Roke Manor and Managing Director, European Electronics Division.

In this role, Stephen (above) will have full management responsibility for the Roke Manor Research Limited subsidiary and Group responsibility for the development of a new European Electronics division with customer facing businesses built around Roke as the contract R&D and product engineering hub.

Stephen  will be a member of the Group Executive Committee, reporting directly to David Price, Chief Executive, and is expected to start work on 5 January 2012.

Stephen joins Chemring from Thales, where he was VP Thales Training & Simulation, responsible for a £400m electronics business with operations in UK, France, Germany, USA and Australia.

He was previously VP, Thales Avionics, where he had responsibility for operations in France, Singapore and USA. He had a number of previous roles with GEC-Marconi, including Operations Director of Flagship Training and Technical Director for In-Flight Systems and Combat Systems. We look forward to welcoming him to the team.
