Stratford-upon-Avon based Consilium Recruit was appointed by the Manufacturing Technology Centre when it was established five years ago. Since then Consilium has partnered the MTC in its drive for growth, recruiting a wide range of engineering talent across all key sectors of the business.

Consilium, which also has offices in Stourport, boasts a division of the company specifically aimed at recruiting highly skilled engineers, managers and advanced manufacturing technicians.

Consilium set up a dedicated recruitment team to service the Coventry based MTC, scouring the world to attract highly educated and talented staff. The team also assisted with graduate assessment programmes, recruitment open days and supported the recruitment process in full, resulting in more than 350 successful appointments to date.

Consilium director Adrian Elwell said the company had achieved consistently successful outcomes and recruited some of the most skilled people in the sector.

“The MTC has had a highly demanding growth schedule which required us to fill some of the most challenging positions. We have recruited a wide spread of engineering talent with the advanced skill-sets required for the engineering and manufacturing technologies of tomorrow,” he said.

The MTC opened five years ago and is a partnership between some of the UK’s major global manufacturers and three universities: Birmingham, Nottingham and Loughborough as well as TWI Ltd. The MTC aims to provide a competitive environment to bridge the gap between university-based research and the development of innovative manufacturing solutions. The MTC is part of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, supported by Innovate UK.

Consilium Recruit - celebrating its 15th anniversary this year - was formed in 2001 by a group of engineering and manufacturing professionals. The company has placed industry talent into a variety of leading UK and European businesses, with clients including Jaguar Land Rover, McLaren and Bosch.

As well as its Stratford-upon-Avon base the Group has an office in Stourport-on-Severn. In 2014 the 40-employee firm was voted the UK’s Best Recruitment Company to Work for by the Institute of Recruitment Professionals, and also recognised nationally as a top 10 company by the prestigious Great Places to Work Institute.
