Dubai 2015: Qatar Airways becomes RAeS corporate partner

On the sidelines of the Dubai Airshow, the airline’s Group Chief Executive, His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker, met with the RAeS’s President, Mr. Martin Broadhurst.
An official signing ceremony took place at Qatar Airways’ chalet on Row A 24 at the Dubai Airshow, confirming the new “Corporate Partner” status of the airline.
The entrance as a corporate partner marks the start of a new relationship between Qatar’s national carrier and the organisation. Qatar Airways is pleased to add the RAeS amongst the list of memberships which the airline currently holds.
Said His Excellency Mr. Akbar Al Baker: “I am pleased to establish this new close relationship with the Royal Aeronautical Society. As leaders in this industry, we always strive for collaboration and partnerships, driving new synergies, and it is through organisations such as these that we build a foundation of mutual benefits to aviation stakeholders.
“At the Singapore Airshow last year, it was an honour to be presented with a Fellowship to the Royal Aeronautical Society, and it is my aim to continue to introduce bold vision into this industry, to build a legacy of passion and accelerated growth for all travellers worldwide.”
Headquartered in the United Kingdom, the objectives of The Royal Aeronautical Society include supporting and maintaining high professional standards in aerospace disciplines; to provide a unique source of specialist information and to act as a local forum for the exchange of ideas.
The airline’s corporate partnership will run on an ongoing basis as a supporter and participant in chapter events and initiatives.
