Elbit Systems UK secures Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award
Elbit Systems UK (ESUK) has achieved the Gold Award under the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) – the Ministry of Defence‘s highest recognition for employers that demonstrate exceptional support for the Armed Forces community.
The prestigious award recognises ESUK’s longstanding commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant and the people who have served – or continue to serve – in uniform. Today, one third of ESUK’s workforce has either served in the Armed Forces or continues to serve as a reservist, bringing invaluable experience, leadership and operational insight to the business.
Paid leave for reservists
Over the past year alone, ESUK has welcomed a further 19 veterans into the organisation while continuing to provide additional paid leave for reservists undertaking military training and operational commitments.

As a business dedicated to equipping and supporting the British Armed Forces, ESUK recognises the unique skills, professionalism and resilience that veterans and reservists bring. Their expertise strengthens the business and helps deliver the advanced technologies that keep UK Armed Forces personnel better trained, better equipped and mission ready.
Recognising the contribution of the Armed Forces community
Receiving Gold marks another milestone in ESUK’s ongoing support for the Armed Forces community. The business intends to continue to strengthen its support for veterans, reservists, service leavers, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers and military families through dedicated policies, mentoring, wellbeing initiatives and career development.
ESUK is also continuing to encourage organisations across its supply chain to strengthen their own Armed Forces Covenant commitments.
An Elbit Systems UK spokesperson said: “We’re incredibly proud to employ so many veterans, reservists and service leavers whose experience, professionalism and dedication make such a valuable contribution to our business every day.
“Receiving the Gold Award is something everyone at Elbit Systems UK can celebrate because it reflects the culture we’ve built together and our unwavering support for the Armed Forces community. Gold isn’t the finish line for us, it’s recognition of the standard we’ve set for ourselves and one we’ll continue to build on.”
