Exova appoints Paul Barry as Managing Director Europe

Global testing group Exova has appointed Paul Barry as managing director for Europe and a member of its Group Executive Committee.

Paul (right) joins Exova following six years with Bureau Veritas, where he most recently held the position of chief executive officer, North West Europe. Originally joining the company as CEO, United Kingdom and Ireland in 2009, Paul was latterly responsible for revenues of over €200 million and 1,500 employees across eight countries.

With over 25 years’ experience in commercial and operational management across a number of business sectors, he has held senior roles with companies including British Gas, Transco, National Grid and Germanischer Lloyd, and was managing director of Advantica’s Middle East business.

At Exova, Paul will be responsible for 64 facilities in 12 countries and will lead a team of over 1,700 testing and calibration experts supporting customers in sectors including aerospace, industrials, energy and health sciences.
