FAUN Trackway USA lands at NGAUS

FAUN Trackway USA has arrived in Nashville, Tennessee for the 137th NGAUS (The National Guard Association of the United States) conference, where the team will be exhibiting from 10-13 September.

The manufacturer of portable roadways and runways will be focusing on its flagship Heavy Ground Mobility System (HGMS).

HGMS is a temporary solution designed to aid military and disaster-relief missions in challenging terrains such as sand, snow, desert and marshland. The system is mounted on to a hydraulic spool and comprised of Military Load Classification (MLC) 70 aluminium Trackway, which can support wheeled or tracked vehicles weighing up to 70 tonnes as a ground-surfacing matting.

The system requires only minimal manpower for deployment, as it’s fitted to the chassis of a military vehicle and powered by its engine. Designed for speed, a full length of 50m Trackway can be laid by two men in only six minutes.

Developed for the Norwegian Army 15 years ago, today more than 35 armed forces worldwide now hold the HGMS in their inventories.

The NGAUS conference will take place at the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center.

Mike Holdcraft, Vice President at FAUN Trackway USA, said: “FAUN Trackway USA’s roadway and runway systems offer efficient and safe access to both armed forces and relief operations.

“Showcasing at NGAUS for the third year running will allow us to further demonstrate the capabilities of the HGMS as well as our full range of products, while providing the opportunity to engage with decision makers from across North America.”
