Finnair adds London–Helsinki route to enhance service to London cargo hub

Finnair will add belly cargo capacity to its route between London Heathrow and Helsinki from the beginning of winter season starting on 25 October 2015 - operating three weekly frequencies with a wide-body aircraft - to facilitate increased cargo demand on this route.

Finnair has recently established its third cargo hub in London to better connect the United Kingdom with its extensive Asian network. Finnair has additional cargo hubs in Brussels, Belgium and Helsinki.

The added cargo capacity on the London - Helsinki route complements the freighter service Finnair and IAG Cargo share between the cities as well as the 35 weekly frequencies with A320 series aircraft.

The added wide body capacity will be a great help in better connecting us with IAG Cargo's network," says Antti Kuusenmäki, Head of Finnair Cargo.
